George Ruan

Interior plates for a Bel-Air hilltop residence for George Ruan, co-founder of Honey (honey.com). The concrete house by SAOTA with Woods + Dangaran runs about 20,841 square feet across nine bedrooms and fourteen baths on a 1.15-acre promontory. Plaster halls, wood, and art lead through living rooms, a theater and library, a wine room, and a hillside bath. The chef’s kitchen runs Miele and Gaggenau with honed quartzite; a glass-wrapped primary suite opens to a terrace. Outside: an infinity-edge pool at the rim of the lot, outdoor kitchen, cabanas, and a sunken fire pit, plus a one-bedroom guesthouse with its own pool — city and Pacific views throughout.

20,841 sq ft · 9 bedrooms · 14 baths · 1.15 acres · SAOTA / Woods + Dangaran

Rooms are read as a continuous path — hall to living to wine room to bath — with art, material, and the hillside light as the through-line.
